Bobby Jones’ The Clover Whiskey Collection is pleased to share that its Straight Single-Barrel Tennessee Bourbon was awarded Platinum for Taste by the American Spirits Council of Tasters (ASCOT) at the 2022 ASCOT Awards.
ASCOT Judges were impressed by The Clover Tennessee, regarding it as “very approachable, but flavorful. Fruity at first with plenty of honey, toffee, slight minerality and a touch of orange peel.” True to the Lincoln County Process, the small-batch bourbon steeps in maple sugar-infused charcoal chips before entering the cask, resulting in a complex aroma and slight char, and the process beautifully mellows the whiskey.
Founded by veteran tasting judge and spirits personality, Fred Minnick, the ASCOT Awards is an international spirits competition with a judging panel of seasoned spirits tasting professionals. Approximately 800 distilled spirits were entered for consideration for the competition's second year.
The ASCOT Platinum medal is one of many prestigious designations awarded to The Clover Whiskey's collection of premium, single-barrel expressions.
