U.S. Open Cocktail - The North-South Mahogany Old-Fahioned at Pinehurst Resort
Join The Clover as we visit the North & South Bar, located at the Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina – host of the 124th U.S. Open.
Today, we’ll be learning how to make the North & South Mahogany Old Fashioned from Colin Dixon, manager of the North & South Bar at Pinehurst Resort. It only takes a few ingredients to enhance the rich and layered flavors of The Bobby Jones Clover Whiskey Collection. When using a fine whiskey less is often best when mixing it into a cocktail, “Bourbon already has some chocolatey notes…so why not just use that and some bitters?” Dixon instructs. This cocktail works well with The Clover Straight Bourbon Whiskey and The Clover Tennessee Bourbon Whiskey, both proudly served at Pinehurst’s North & South bar.
Watch below as he shows you how to make this variation of an Old-Fashioned Cocktail using The Clover Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
